Expanding Markets: Evergreen Enterprises Acquires Team Sports America

If you're an existing Evergreen customer, you're probably already aware of our extensive line of licensed Collegiate (NCAA) products as well as our new entry into the world of NFL this year. We're very excited to share that on September 6, 2011, we acquired Team Sports America (TSA), a leading wholesale provider of officially licensed home and garden products, which will allow us to bring significantly more sports-branded items to our customers.


More Items 
The acquisition of TSA gives Evergreen access to their large collection of over 3,000 SKUs of sports-themed products. The TSA catalog includes popular outdoor and backyard decor (such as benches and birdhouses), pool and patio items (such as umbrellas, grill covers, and inflatable floats), as well as innovative indoor electronics such as scoreboard thermometer clocks. More recent additions to the TSA inventory have included more personal and up-market items such as leather goods, crystal table top items, pens, and key rings.

All of these products will essentially triple the number of sports product options we can offer to our retailers. It will also open the door to many new categories, including entire groups of products that we haven't yet been able to offer. With all these additions, Evergreen is better positioned to become a true "one-stop-shop" for both national and independent retailers.



More Leagues 
Not only do we gain a greater catalog of product types, but Evergreen also gains the TSA license agreements. While we already offer products licensed by Collegiate schools and the National Football League (NFL), we now are able to provide licensed products from the National Hockey League (NHL) and Major League Baseball (MLB). It's an incredible opportunity to take on the responsibility of developing, managing and selling a much more complete range for all types of sports fans, as well as retailers who are seeking year-round sports solutions: football in the fall, hockey in the winter, baseball in the spring, and college sports of every season. And with 32 NFL teams, 30 MLB teams, and 30 NHL teams, that's a huge audience of potential fans for our retailers to tap into.


More Sales
More products means more sales opportunities, yet we understand that the challenge to serve our customers also grows at the same rate. Recognizing their expertise, some of the sales, operations, and customer service staff from TSA will continue to operate as part of the Evergreen team out of TSA's existing facility in Memphis, Tennessee. The acquisition will allow current TSA customers to take advantage of the wide coverage of the Evergreen in-house sales force. All-in-all, both TSA and Evergreen customers will continue to receive the high level of service that they have come to expect.

The complete, combined portfolio of over 4,000 licensed sports products will made available to all customers on October 3, 2011.
