Indispensible Items: Cypress Home 2011 (Part 2 of 2)
With the release of each major catalog, we try to take some time and help introduce our customers and readers to what we believe are some of the best new products and designs. Last time (see below), we covered a big picture of some of the hot visual trends that have impacted our Cypress Home collections in a big way. Recognizing that many buyers shop by the product category, we’ll now zero in and look at some of the hottest individual pieces in our Cypress Home indoor entertaining line.(As always, you can click on the photos to view them larger.)
These are, without a doubt, the strongest trending item in the Cypress Home line right now. Since we introduced them several months ago, our durable, acrylic-like insulated tumblers just keep increasing in popularity. We offer a wide selection of designs, from patterns to monogram. In fact, our Polka Dot Monogram cup is our #1 item at the moment, so take note and catch the fever!
These cups feature a double-walled design which does a fantastic job of keeping 17 oz. of cold beverage delightfully chilled. They include screw-on lids and break-resistant, reusable straws. They’re also dishwasher safe!
New for 2011, we have also introduced a larger 20-oz. size. In the future, we plan to expand our selection in this amazingly hot category to include more designs in the larger size and also a smaller 10-oz. size for children. Partially based on the success of our mossy oak camo pattern, we will also prepare a more diverse offering of designs with more masculine and sports-oriented themes.
As a hot-beverage counterpart to our insulated cups, our brand new 10-oz. double-walled porcelain travel cups are perfect for carrying a steaming cup of tea or coffee on a morning commute—and keeping it hot when you arrive at work. The double-walled construction provides maximum insulation against beverage heat loss, while the soft silicone lid is more durable and provides a better seal than plastic.
Our “High Spirits” shoe-shaped wine bottle holders have been part of the Cypress Home line for a while now, and they’re still going strong. Sculpted out of resin and hand-painted to look like a real high-heeled shoe, they’re a functional accent with visual attitude! For this year, we’ve added new embellishments such as fabric and jewels for more impressive and realistic look.
For our upcoming Fall release, we’re preparing matching wine bags as well as shoes with metallic finishes. Look for them this December!
Put these bags in the freezer for a couple of hours to chill, then take them out a put a bottle of wine inside to keep it cool for at least 30 minutes. These handy accessories come in 6 assorted vibrant colors with a built-in handle so they can look fun while being incredibly useful.
Another item that has enjoyed a strong place in the Cypress Home catalog for some time, our canvas, metal-framed market totes are perfect for small shopping trips or for picnic outings. The printed canvas collapses flat for convenient storage, and the handle locks in place for secure carrying. Use these instead of disposable shopping bags to demonstrate an eco-friendly concern.
We have just introduced new market totes within our new 2011 collections, such as Bird Study (at right). That said, one of the stronger designs in this category remains the classic Locally Grown pattern.
Another great example of form mixed with function, our colorful fabric aprons remain a big hit. Our newest designs in collections such as Fresco Rooster and Sweet Escape (at right) feature wider neck straps, convenient pockets, and 3-tiered flouncing for a smart a sassy look. All our aprons remain 100% cotton and are machine washable. They're so cool and comfortable, you might even forget you're wearing an apron!
Our 100% recycled EcoGlass is another long-term strong seller. Imported from Spain and available in a wide range of pieces and colors, it’s a fantastic way to add beautiful and useful décor to any home, all while promoting an earth-friendly approach. Our new bright-colored platters and vases (at right) have been very popular so far, and our alabaster-patterned bowls continue to perform well.
