Head for the Coast: Cape Craftsmen 2011 supplement catalog overview

June 07, 2011 Evergreen Enterprises, Inc. 0 Comments

From its early days off the shores of North Carolina, our Cape Craftsmen brand has long focused on attractive and affordable coastal décor. With our newest 2011 summer supplement catalog, we’ve worked hard to introduce several collections of brand new coastal items that also cross over into everyday. Many of these will be perfectly suited for buyers who may not live in regions near the coast.

While shopping this catalog, we hope you’ll take note of the following key areas. As always, you can click on the photos to view them larger.

Glass Mosaic

You’ll find several items throughout the book that feature mosaic glass designs in just right shades of coastal color. Light the way with our impressive lanterns with nickel-colored metal frames and blue-toned glass. From our Nature’s Charms collection, our flower-shaped mirrors, sold in sets of three, are decorated with crushed glass mosaics—either in multi-color or silver sparkle—and are proving to be strong sellers.
With its blue, green, and silver glass mosaic pattern, the round mirror in our Modern Coastal collection offers a large, practical piece with a look that clean and contemporary.

Hammocks

A brand new item in this catalog, our new hammocks are perfect for “hanging out” and relaxing at any Waterside Retreat. Made in bright and fun colors from cotton fabric and terylene rope, they support up to 250 lbs. and include a matching pouch for storage. Shop the rest of our Waterside Retreat collection for more colorful coastal décor, in both nautical and sea life themes.

Seashells

What’s more coastal than seashells? Not much that we can think of, and thus we’ve integrated seashell designs into countless new pieces this year, especially in our Coastal Chic collection. Using simple palettes of white, taupe, and other neutrals, these elegant coastal gems are classic pieces that can help create a unique and elegant coastal lifestyle.
Most impressive among these has to be our large ceramic shell-encrusted vases (above), which can also be used as planters or urns. They feature a base surface of fine-crushed shells, overlaid with artful patterns of floral branches created from real seashells.

Seashells are used as hand-made art sources yet again in our lovely shell flower picks (below), available in assorted sets of 2 different sizes. Arrange them in a vase with greenery, and at a distance, they look just like real flowers!

Speaking of vases, our shell flower picks work perfectly in our beautiful new white bisque vases, as shown at left. Made of fine bone china, they are sculpted with intricate shell details near the top for a perfectly subtle coastal accent. You'll notice several new white bisque items in other themes throughout this catalog that help represent the clean purity of nature.

Woven Baskets

Found in our naturally beautiful Shoreside Cottage collection, these handled baskets are a “natural” choice for storage and display. Available in 2 different shapes (both in 3 assorted sizes), they’re handwoven by skilled Filipino artisans and amply sized for everything from magazines and newspapers to towels and throws. Made of rattan and arurog (a self-sustaining plant which grows abundantly in the Philippines), these baskets are the perfect eco-friendly addition to any green-minded home. And they’re available a price point that’s well below our competitors.
