From Ting Xu, Founder

Evergreen Enterprises has come a long way since 1993. From a flag booth at the Virginia State Fair to the nation’s leading wholesaler of home and garden décor, from shipping out of a garage and making deliveries in a pickup truck to operating multiple state-of-the-art facilities and employing 150 territory managers to serve customers, we have truly experienced the American Dream on every level.

As rewarding as the growth has been, what’s most important is the way that you, our loyal customers, have kept us grounded. For this reason, an understanding of value and a customer-centric focus are at the core of our business.

Over the last two decades, you’ve experienced many challenges with us: failed product launches, competitive pressure from large retailers, and regulatory changes. Searching around the world for unique and value-oriented products, all with good quality, has inspired us to keep moving forward. Our customers continually ask us “what is new and special?” and we owe it to you to provide the answers.

As we look to the future, Evergreen will continue to develop exciting new products, expand our distribution network, invest in new facilities and technology, and build a talented pool of employees. We do all this to make Evergreen a company that’s easy to do business with. You have many choices in vendors, and we will continue to work hard to earn your trust and patronage. Our values of hard work, agility, innovation, value, and family spirit will guide us forward as we seek the answers to whatever challenges lie ahead.

Evergreen has always been a family effort. Our second child was only 5 months old when we started the company. We still remember him resting in an infant seat while we designed holiday flags at Kinko’s! Today both of our children are enjoying college life. Our parents—the reason we began 20 years ago—are still healthy and active. Occasionally they still visit our offices, offering to go buy supplies at Costco.

These days, the Evergreen family includes nearly 400 members. We are thankful to be able to remain connected to each other—and to our customers—through the ongoing technological innovations that our world offers. Our close connections help us to all stay focused on our primary mission: taking care of our customers.

We all thank you for supporting us over the last 20 years, and we look forward to the next 20 years ahead!
