Top Tips: 5 Fresh Ways to Use Our Glass Bird Baths

Our glass bird baths have been one of the runaway hits of our Evergreen Garden product line over the last couple of years. Each season we introduce new glass bird bath styles to stay ahead of the curve and to keep bringing fresh looks to this mainstay product category. Most of our glass bird baths are embossed with popular designs from nature and then painted from the back. We also offer several designs that feature mosaics or a stained glass look. Some of our newest glass bird baths use more abstract patterns and shapes for a wider, more artistic appeal. (We’ve even got designs for the sports fans, with Collegiate, NFL, and MLB teams!) In all cases, the translucence of the glass allows the sun to delightfully illuminate the piece.

The appeal of our glass bird baths grows immensely when you consider all their many uses. At 18" across, they're larger than some people imagine. While they work great as outdoor bird baths, there are so many more ways to enjoy these pieces. The approaching cooler winter months present an opportunity to discover all of their indoor uses. Because of their wide versatility, we’ve started referring to our glass bird baths as “artisan glass bowls.” We think it better expresses their functional diversity, with so many ways to enjoy their beauty.

Beyond being a great outdoor garden accent, here’s a list of our favorite 5 ways to use a glass bird bath artisan glass bowl indoors. (As usual, click on the photos to view them larger.)

1. Place on one of our easels and display on a table or shelf as a piece of art.

2. Create an elegant, mood-setting table centerpiece by filling the bowl with dried flowers, pinecones, faux fruit, or a pillar candle.

3. Fill it with chips or other snack food at parties or other gatherings. (Most of our designs are food safe. Look for the icon in the catalog!)

4. Fill it with water and place floating candles in the water to create a soft lighting source.

5. Use it as a chiller by filling it with ice and placing drinks or another plate of chilled food on top.

Remember that whether indoors or out, our metal bird bath stands are perfect for elevating our artisan glass bowls, for placement on the floor, on a table or on a countertop. Read this older article from our blog about all the ways to position a bird bath with or without stands.
